In frame of the HAPIE project, the first workshop was held in Ho Chi Minh City, January 5-7, 2017 with strong support from Saigon High Tech Park, and coordinator board from Cardiff University and University of Greenwich as well as the cooperation of the project partners. During the workshop, the presentation and discussion of the funding bodies like the British Council, NATIF was very helpful for all participants to prepare and apply their proposals to suitable funding. Meanwhile, the experience of the UK experts helped the Vietnamese colleagues in knowledge transfer partnership, design and development process of the high-added value product, especially the medical devices for the needy. On the last day of the workshop, the partners demonstrated cost-effective and high added value, medical product that are possibly commercialized.


Twelve memory of agreements were signed among the partners for a preparation of project proposals for 2017 possible funding. More partners wished to join the project indicates its impact and stimulation. Numbers of activities of coming work packages were discussed and assigned to corresponding groups and need to be completed on time.
